I Am Woman: Taking Care of Yourself

For me, women’s health has never been just about avoiding illness. It’s about how we care for our bodies, our minds, and our emotions every single day. Through my I Am Woman events, I share what I’ve come to believe is the true foundation of wellbeing—self-love, self-respect, natural living, and the daily habits that support us from within.

I truly believe that self-love and self-respect are where it all begins. As women, we need to learn to appreciate and honour our bodies—not just how they look, but everything they do for us. That means respecting our skin, our organs, our energy, and our overall wellbeing.

For me, self-respect is about knowing your worth and treating yourself with kindness and dignity. It’s about setting boundaries, saying no when something doesn’t feel right, and not allowing negative influences to take over your mental or physical health. When I see a woman step into her self-respect, everything begins to shift. She starts making choices that support her, without guilt or pressure. She understands that her health and happiness truly matter.

I’ve also seen how self-respect shapes the small, everyday decisions we make. When you value yourself, you naturally begin to move away from unhealthy foods, toxic environments, and negative thinking. You start to prioritise rest, manage stress better, and give yourself permission to take care of your own needs. Over time, this builds confidence and emotional strength, helping you move through life with inner calm and clarity.

Another important part of what I share is living in a more natural and organic way. I always come back to this simple truth—nature provides us with what we need to support our health. When we choose fresh, whole foods over processed ones, we reduce the load of chemicals and additives on our bodies. When we use natural skincare and thoughtful health products, we support our bodies instead of working against them.

I often talk about the importance of nourishing the body at a cellular level. It’s not just about drinking water or eating well—it’s about making sure our bodies can absorb and use what we’re giving them. When our cells are supported, everything works better. It becomes easier to let go of habits like excess sugar and fried foods, because the body no longer craves what doesn’t serve it.

To me, living well is about learning to listen—to hear what I call “nature’s whispers.” Our bodies are always communicating with us, and when we slow down enough to pay attention, we can respond in a way that truly supports our health.

At the end of the day, I believe a woman’s health is shaped by the choices she makes every day. That’s why I encourage every woman to create her own “toolbox” for inner balance—something she can rely on no matter where she is in her journey.

For me, it always comes back to this: when we practise self-love, strengthen self-respect, embrace a more natural way of living, and stay consistent with healthy habits, we create a life that feels balanced, grounded, and fulfilling.

True wellbeing isn’t something outside of us—it’s something we build from within, with awareness, respect, and consistency.
